Good to Know
Is Millie a Real Person?
No. Millie and Bob are AI companions, and they'll always say so if asked. They're designed to be warm, patient, and genuinely good listeners.
Do I Need a Smartphone?
Not for the calls. Daily Dial! calls any phone number, including landlines and flip phones. The app is optional, for reading notes or chatting by text.
How Long Are the Calls?
As long as you'd like, on the phone or in the chat. Some check-ins take a few minutes, and some turn into a long chat. Your companion never rushes anyone off the phone.
What Happens If Something Sounds Wrong?
The note is clearly labeled Heads Up so the right person sees it. During a call or chat, your companion will encourage calling 911 in an emergency. Daily Dial! can't call for help on anyone's behalf, so it's not a replacement for emergency services or medical alert devices.
Who Can See the Notes?
Only the person who signed up and anyone they choose to share their private link with. Keep your link private, the same as a password.
Can I Change the Call Time or Stop Calls?
Yes, anytime. Change the time, switch companions, or turn daily calls off in the app's Settings.
Does It Work on Android?
Yes. Calls work on any phone, and Android users can chat and read notes at getdailydial.com/app. You can add it to your home screen so it works like an app.
